It's no secret that I love titanium frame locks and am always on the hunt for designs that work for EDC and bushcraft. Well, here's a solid performer that's a dream for both purposes. The TiSpine is available with two steel options. M390 is a crucible steel that will handle tough chores with ease along with providing excellent corrosion resistance. This high performance material is a third-generation powered steel that offers virtually no non-metal inclusions and an extremely uniform distribution of carbides. If you want something a bit fancier, you can also get the TiSpine with a rain drop pattern Damascus that is as striking to look at as it is functional. The most dramatic difference between this and other frame locks is the one piece monoblock machining of the handle. Instead of being made by screwing two flat slabs of titanium together as is typically done, this 4D machined handle is made from a single block of 6AI4V titanium. The result is much more than cosmetic as the smooth, seamless back not only adds strength but makes this folder feel like a fixed blade in the hand. The Lionsteel TISpine is gorgeous to behold and an absolute joy to use and carry.
